It's official! The OGBDA Blog has expanded and our website is now live. Please visit the One Good Book Deserves Another website to see the new site and drop a line to my awesome webmaster, who I've finally let out of the webdesign dungeon...for a quick break, anyway, before he'll be commanded back to the grindstone. ;-)

Go Fetch (Magnus Pack)4 Stars
Hot and Fiery Paranormal Romance with Fangs

Miki Kendrik is a girl-genius, on the FBI's watch list for cyber crimes committed in her youth, and she's got the type of biting, caustic, yet fiercely devoted personality that far surpasses her diminutive frame in size. Conall Viga-Feilan is just the huge and gorgeous Viking shapeshifter to take her on and make her his own...even if her idea of going "quietly" includes using weapons of deadly-if-not-mass destruction. That she created.

And her idea of fun is seeing if he'll stick his head out the window when she drives.

Zany, a little damaged, more than a little deranged, and definitely with no off switch between her brain and her mouth, Miki has become a favorite character of mine. Her strengths are legion, her weaknesses I can relate to, and I just love how she barrels through life at twice the speed of sound only to acknowledge that she's not entirely sure where she wants to go. Conall is as steadfast and singularly focused as Miki is not - he wanted her from the moment he saw her, and the more he learns of her, the more he loves who she is. In short, they're perfect for each other.

As the second of the Magnus Pack trilogy, Shelly Laurenston has broadened the rich world she started to create in the first book of the series, Pack Challenge, with characters just as unique and interesting...and scary in a nearly psychotic way. I love how these books read. They're pure enjoyment for me. Again, there's violence and graphic sexual situations not meant for readers who prefer those aspects referred to more euphemistically, but the Magnus Pack series is an in-your-face aggression type book, even between the lead characters, so it works for me. There aren't going to be any hearts and sonnets in this world of fang and sex and love, but there's going to be lots of rockin' good times. Enjoy!
